Script Reading Club

Next Meeting: Sunday, 15 November at 12:00 PM ET

GTA is launching a script reading group (think a book club for scripts) and we'd like to invite any interested students to join us! Each month, we will read a script written by a Georgetown alum and then come together to discuss it with the writer. It's a great chance to connect with the wider Georgetown theatre community and read some awesome scripts in the process.

If you would be interested in participating or would like to suggest a play to read (especially if it is a play written by a Georgetown alum - and even more especially if it is a play written by you!), please email us at

Shakespeare and Shots!

23 October 2020

In a new twist on GTA's traditional homecoming festivities, we hosted slightly-tipsy reading of one of the Bard's best works. Members brought their own beverages and enjoyed a celebration of the one of history's best combinations: good theatre and a good drink. As they say in Macbeth, "Drink sir, is a great provoker of three things...nose-painting, sleep and...Georgetown theatre fellowship." (Or at least that's how we remember the quote).
